tp365 - the ECB approved NTP
The tp365 non-turf cricket pitch system is an ECB approved non turf cricket pitch, as used by Darren Gough. Its unique and modern design offers cricket players a balanced game between bat and ball and is designed to encourage turn and improve the playing experience more than any other artificial surface.
The tp365 system has evolved from many years of practical experience of managing natural turf pitches and calls on the latest research, materials construction techniques and methods in performance testing to give cricketers an excellent play or practice experience.
David Bates, former cricketer and Head Groundsman at Northamptonshire C.C.C. and now total-play's Managing Director says of total-play:
"The aim is simple; to provide the highest quality all weather surface. We have designed a system for cricketers with a surface that provides the perfect balance between bat and ball. We wanted a pitch that enables a batsman to practise the correct techniques, giving them the ability to play on the up, off the front foot and with confidence to play off the back foot. Our surface also encourages spin, which is essential for slow bowlers, both young and old. Above all, we wanted a safe and consistent pitch with the correct pace and bounce to promote every aspect of the modern game."
All total-play non turf pitches are installed by our in-house team. Fully qualified and experienced in the construction of natural sports surfaces, drainage installations and grounds works, the installation team possesses a unique blend of expertise. Use of state of the art equipment including laser guided machinery and surveying equipment means that each project is built to the exacting specification of the design, and in an effective manner. The installation team is fully trained in Health & Safety and adhere to Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007 (CDM). They are also 'Construction Line' members.
Quality assured installations are designed to meet Performance Quality Standards (PQS) and England & Wales Cricket Board technical guidelines.
