Irby Cricket Club undertook a 2 year programme to fund, develop and install a state of the art NTP net system that would both stand the test of time in terms of the rigours of daily cricket practice and also provide the club with a basis for membership growth. The installation took place on the agreed dates and was completed to our complete satisfaction - even considering the awful weather we experienced in the spring of 2008.

The surface is an excellent emulation of a good grass wicket and has none of the excessive bounce that most hard surface practise wickets have. The framework and netting are of good quality and enable safe practise to be undertaken with no “ricochet” effect at all. The nets have been used on an almost daily basis by mini & junior squads, colts and senior sides and have proved to be ideal for all levels of practise and coaching.

"Our junior section is growing rapidly and to ensure the club can satisfy increasing demand on facilities, we installed an artificial match pitch next to our square.

Having undertaken a tender process, we appointed total-play to install our pitch. Overall we are very happy with the results. The kids use it both for training and matches. "Harrow School appointed total-play to complete a design and build project for the re-installation of the school's 6th Form artificial cricket practice nets. The school undertook a thorough tendering process, with all the relevant companies, but decided to appoint total-play.

The site was first surveyed to ascertain dimensions and ground levels. The project was then value engineered and a final specification provided.

The project was completed in August 2006 in less than two weeks and we are delighted with the system. We now have a fully enclosed four bay system, which our pupils are enjoying."
